CrisisCamp Paris part of the global network CrisisCommons. It aims to bring together volunteers, Developers, Translators, Researchers, NGOs, businesses and local authorities around the uses of new information technologies and communication during crises (such as natural disasters), diffuse form of online tools, Free and open source, made by and for citizens and communities online and used in an emergency. This is a first draft of’Internet d'Urgence, ie the use of new media by individuals or diaspora, to respond to crises and / or prepare responses and solutions in case of natural disasters.
The 1er was held on 24 April 2010 to La Cantine by 6 key players; Global Voices France, Evidence, OpenStreetMap, ADECOOP, New Media Association and Silicon Sentier.
